American graffiti artist and designer Brian Donnelly, otherwise known as KAWS, has a career spanning almost three decades. He’s popularly known for his works featuring the repeated use of a cast of figurative characters and motifs which are painted first and then executed in 3D.
Over the years, he’s collaborated and designed for A Bathing Ape, Supreme, Nike, Comme des Garçons and Jun Takahashi, to name a few. His most recent, and arguably most coveted collaboration was with Uniqlo where he reinterpreted Sesame Street characters—Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert, and Ernie—in his signature style. The collection comprised t-shirts and sweatshirts for men, women and kids as well as plush toys.

This year, he’s teaming up with Uniqlo again, this time for his KAWS: Summer collection. Which encompass menswear, womenswear and childrenswear, and features curated KAWS designs—sculptures and artworks. COMPANION and BFF, characters synonymous with Donnelly are also part of the line-up.
The collection will launching in stores in Singapore on Monday, 3 June. Adults’ UTs are $19.90, kids’ UTs are $14.90 and the tote bags are $19.90.
