Fashion Week is picking up steam and we’re already feeling the need to disconnect and get some downtime. It seems fashion designers understand our tech-wrecked, social-media-induced struggle, because the trending colors for the Spring 2016 collections are all about calm and comfort.
Pantone just released it’s annual Top-10 color list for spring, and with hues like Rose Quartz, Peach Echo and Serenity leading the season’s palette, it’s an open invitation to unplug and unwind. (Or at least dress in a way that suggests a bit of tranquility.)
“The fact that technology has gotten so overwhelming and so 24/7 has really created a great part of the need for these comforting, softer colors. Technology plays a huge part in people feeling like they want to stop the world and get off,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute executive director.
