A new advertising campaign from Ralph Lauren features a same-sex couple, a major statement on inclusivity for the fashion colossus. Called "Family is who you love," the new ad makes a point of celebrating modern families of all stripes and configurations, including two women, Helena Tejedor and Cecile Winckler. (The couple toasted their portrait on Instagram, where they each have a devoted following.) Family is important to Lauren, as he said last year when he and his expanded brood were photographed for Town & Country: "I’ve been married for 54 years. I’ve appreciated my life and my family, and I’ve been very lucky." For Lauren's 50th anniversary show last year, a memorable inter-generational fashion show played out at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park while Oprah Winfrey, Hilary Clinton, Steven Spielberg, and Kanye West (to name just a few), looked on. "We live in a world where the meaning of family is bigger, broader, and more personal than it has ever been before," said Jonathan Bottomley, chief marketing officer. "'Family is who you love’ is a celebration of the fact that family means different things to each of us."
