Reinterpreted classics featuring embroidered logos and romantic motifs
Fancy a fun wardrobe upgrade with a touch of quirk? Look no further than Roger Vivier's Funny Love creations. Dreamed up as part of the maison's fall/ winter 2020 collection, the love-inspired designs—alongside other exquisite styles—were delivered via a multi-sensorial experience (dubbed Hôtel Vivier Sensorama) during Paris Fashion Week. Synonymous with fantastical styles and opulent embellishments, Roger Vivier proved once again its knack for materialising whimsical dreamscapes through beautiful accessories made for the modern-day woman.
Creative Director Gherardo Felloni looked to the storied house's archives for inspiration and emerged with reinterpreted classics, complete with embroidered scribbles of heart and lip motifs, as well as the RV logo in black, gold and silver stitching.
The Funny Love ballerina flats and kitten heel pumps, for example, combine Monsieur Roger Vivier's distinct décolleté accent and pointed lacquered heel from the '60s archives with the romantic motifs, and come in vibrant red, pink and black. Look closer and you'll find the ultimate love message—a bright red heart secretly concealed inside.
Matching the stylish shoes is the Funny Love RV, a versatile bucket bag whose R and V handles can be carried by hand, or over the shoulder with a removable metal chain. Finished in sumptuous pink or black suede, the playful bag is similarly adorned with fun, graphic embroidery and will take you from day to night.
