It was a celebration of freedom and youthful energy at Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2025 menswear show held at the Trieannale Milano—the city’s melting pot for culture and creativity. Creative Director Sabato de Sarno presented an encounter between the city and the beach, shown through clothes that combined the aesthetics of sleek and laid-back dressing. “ I feel free when there is no distance between my words and my thoughts, between my actions and my heart,” the designer shared. Ultimately, he wanted the collection to speak about freedom and being comfortable in the clothes you wear.

Quickly being recognised as the designer who is bringing the House back to its origins, de Sarno kept his collection close to the codes that have made Gucci a fashion icon. Impeccable Italian tailoring was seen in long coats and sharp, single-breasted suits.

The beach vibe was felt through matching shirts and shorts, with infinity prints of surfers, dolphins, hibiscus flowers and banana leaves. The jackets in sorbet colours were the perfect blend of city and beach. Paired with miniature shorts, it was the look that can take you from Milan to Sardinia.

Staying close to the archives, de Sarno looked to the Valigeria luggage for inspiration in creating the brushed leather handbags with detachable pieces. In contrast, the Gucci B-bag, in regular and mini sizes, brought a sense of fun to the accessories. In true Gucci style, the Gucci Horsebit, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary, regained the spotlight this season. This iconic hardware was placed on pointed shoes and slim belts, reaffirming its status as the House’s enduring symbol.
