From the sequinned dresses proudly featuring Kansai Yamamoto prints, to the samurai-esque blazers with strong shoulders and tapered waists, Nicolas Ghesquière's collection was an ode to Japan, a country that has long fascinated him and captured his imagination. Pei, located about an hour's drive from Kyoto, melds modernity with traditions and was the perfect setting to a collection that sings the same tune.
