BAZAAR Editor’s Picks: Best Looks From Valentino Fall/Winter 2025

Alessandro Michele presents intimacy in a bathroom set.

One expects nothing lesser than a theatrical performance at a Alessandro Michele show, and this season’s Valentino collection was no different. While he brought us into a room filled with furniture covered in white fabric, dimly-lit lamps, and broken mirrored floors for his debut collection, Michele’s set of choice this time around was a blood-red bathroom.

Once the toilet flush turned into a Lana Del Rey soundtrack, it signalled the cue for the models who were lined neatly behind the bathroom stalls to promptly march out, showcasing Michele’s creations: a total of 81 looks.

Unbuttoned lace bodysuits as if one has just rushed out of the stall; luxurious fur coats, prim and proper pantsuits, and floor-grazing gowns—Michele continues to explore Valentino’s house codes while adding his dramatic flair and contemporary elements to each look. Namely, ultra classic Vans skate shoes peeking under tailored trousers—we love!

Ahead, our favourite looks from the show.

Remember the single blue cat clutch that came down the runway in Michele’s debut collection last season? Well, here’s fall/winter 2025’s version of his feline friend—now on a sequinned white gown. While we’re eager to see if this cat motif will be a recurring one, or if there’s a hidden message behind it, we’re pretty sure someone will be strutting down a red carpet in this. May we suggest proud cat lady, Taylor Swift?

We love it when a man is able to pull off a typically feminine cardigan better than even a lady could; and this is what’s happening here. Effortlessly worn over a crisp button-down shirt and polka-dotted trousers, the buttery yellow sequinned cardigan also brings your eyes to the nude lace high-neck top worn beneath. What’s his story, you wonder. But then, you realise that the contrasting elements in this look work seamlessly well together, thanks to Michele’s magic touch.

Michele doesn’t just do eccentrics; he knows what a Valentino customer needs on a regular day too, sans the drama. Enter a perfectly-cut suit set layered with a red shirt underneath. Of course, it still needs a little oomph; courtesy of the fur collar.

Valentino loves polka dots, and we get it—polka dots ooze playfulness, nostalgia, and all-around timelessness. However, the star of this look isn’t the yellow spots on the luxurious silk shirt; it is the green python leather coat hemmed with fur. An unexpected juxtaposition of prints and textures speaks of confidence and authenticity; a little bit of a devil-may-care attitude.

Another red carpet-worthy number is this see-through lace and tulle skirt fit—statement-making yet understated, sophisticated yet fashion-forward. With teeny bows both securing and anchoring the delicate lace top, it’s giving old school glamour with a modern touch.
