Rosé, Mark Tuan And Powered Simplicity At Saint Laurent Summer 2024
A tribute to the maison's foundation.
Defined by simplicity and a return to foundations, Anthony Vaccarello presented a classic Saint Laurent showcase against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower. Vaccarello looked back on the house's 70-year heritage, rendered in looks that were equal parts sensual and chic.
Inspired by pioneering female pilots and aviators (think: Amelia Earhart and Adrienne Bolland who claimed their place in male-dominated spaces), the collection melds masculinity and femininity across oversized sunglasses and head-caps, utility jumpsuits tied at the waist, cargo trousers and buttoned tank tops that gave way to pleated gowns, mesh tops and mini dresses in khaki, burgundy, cream, brown and grey. Leather gloves and high heels add the refinement the house is known for.
