Update, 6/22: Last week, Selena Gomez‘s first-ever major fashion campaign was unveiled as she became the new face of Louis Vuitton’s LV Series 5. The singer opened up about the experience shooting the campaign in Miami alongside creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere and photographer Bruce Weber to WWD.
“I have done photo shoots since I was very young, and, to me, the most important thing at a shoot is to be surrounded by people with good energy. We aren’t saving the world here, so it should be light and fun,” Gomez said on shooting the images.
And also important to note about the campaign shoot? There was apparently a lot of dancing going on behind-the-scenes, according to Ghesquiere. Guess that’s the secret to getting the perfect shot:

Original Article, 6/17: After several seasons of being a front row fixture at Louis Vuitton andrecently hinting at “exciting things coming,” with Nicolas Ghesquiere, Selena Gomez’s first campaign for the fashion house is finally here.
Ghesquiere shared a preview of the singer’s LV Series 5 campaign, photographed by Bruce Weber, on Instagram this morning. In the first new photo, Gomez looks stunning, wearing an oversized faux fur hat and leather shearling jacket and holding a mini Vuitton trunk bag.
This marks Gomez’s first-ever luxury fashion campaign, a long-overdue feat since becoming a fashion industry favorite after stylist Kate Young helped majorly transform her style last year. We have a feeling this is only the first of many fashion projects featuring Gomez to come.
