Net-a-Porter

We're always excited when a new designer starts his/her own label, and what makes it even better? When the brands launch its new collection on Net-a-Porter! From minimalist bags, to transformable wardrobe staples, and statement vacation-worthy pieces—below are three of our favourite designers new to the luxury fashion retail destination, and of course, our wish lists.

PS. We also caught up with Lisa Aiken, Retail Fashion Director at Net-a-Porter, and learnt about how she discovered this brands, and why we need to know about them stat.

Rokh

Founded by Korean designer, Rok Hwang has worked with Phoebe Philo at Céline and freelanced at Louis Vuitton and Chloé before starting his own label in 2016.

"We found them at the back of a showroom in Paris, and it was only their second season but their vision is like nothing I've seen before because it has a sense of the brand being very directional but also very easy", Aiken said of the London-based label, Rokh

Timeless yet transformable through smart fastenings and details. Rok Hwang believes that his creations should feel familiar and last through all trends, and ultimately adaptable. Have fun, play around, and make every Rokh piece uniquely yours.

Stine Goya

On a complete opposite of the spectrum from Rokh is Danish designer and her namesake label, Stine Goya, who established her brand in Copenhagen in 2006.

"We found her at Copenhagen Fashion Week. She's got a very strong following in her region but not necessarily on an international scale", Aiken says of the cheery designer. "Stine Goya is very feminine and colourful. I think of her as a colourist! She puts these amazing colours together that you wouldn't necessarily do. It's really beautiful", she elaborates.

As she celebrates the brand's 10th anniversary, Stine Goya's SS18 collection is aptly titled "Flashback Forward", and incorporates both archival and future elements of her collections. We can't help but smile when looking at the collection made up of mustard, blush, and moss hues, dotted with whimsical prints—definitely made to turn heads.

Carolina Santo Domingo

Let's just say that Carolina Santo Domingo knows a thing or two about creating Instagram-worthy bags, that will quickly become cult favourites. "She’s designed for multiple brands. I’m pretty sure we have bought some of her bags and now she’s launching her own brand", Aiken says of the LA-based designer.

Timeless and minimal with a quirky edge, Carolina Santo Domingo's leather bags are handcrafted in Italy. They are made to be the finishing touches of your outfits, not the accents (but well, they can be if you'd like). We've already got one in our shopping cart!
