5 Things To Look Out For At The Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition In Singapore

The highly anticipated exhibition opens this weekend — here's what to keep an eye out for

It's finally here! The highly anticipated Louis Vuitton Series 3 exhibition is opening tomorrow and you can be sure that the queues to get into the world of Louis Vuitton will be long. If you're eagerly waiting to get a glimpse of the stunning exhibition, fret not — we're here to give you a rundown of all the highlights (culled from our Snapchat: @harpersbazaarsg) so you'll know just what to expect when you head down.

1. Upon entry, exhibition goers are immediately greeted with this mesmerising neon logo

It reflects Nicolas Ghesquière's interpretation of the Louis Vuitton logo — bringing the past into the 21st century. (Also, it's great for taking moody selfies with: see Digital Writer Pakkee's here.)

2. One of the must-visits of the exhibition is the Accessories Gallery

Blinding white light in a pristine, almost clinically white room housed sculptures based on model Marte Mei van Haaster. Archive trunks and special orders (such as hatboxes) are also on display here, presenting a nice contrast with Ghesquière's accessories from the fall/winter 2015 collection.

3. Every girl's dream: A walk-in Louis Vuitton wardrobe

Displaying the fall/winter 2015 collection, some things you should look out for include this intricately embroidered dress with jellyfish and eel drawings as well as the iconic LV flowers and diamonds, the sheep fur coat worn by Freja Beha Erichsen in the runway show, as well as a vermillion crocodile skin Petite Malle that is oh-so-covetable.

4. Speaking of the Petite Malle, you can actually see how it's made at the exhibition

Louis Vuitton flew an artisan in from Paris who will demonstrate the making of the Petite Malle and all the detailed steps required to make one — from the way the logo of the canvas is positioned to the attachment of the hardware. Watch the video below for a sneak peek!

5. Lastly, don't forget to take the stickers and posters!

As you exit through the cafe (also another place worth checking out), remember to stop by the sticker booth and choose your stickers — you can select up to two alphabets and three accessories, so make it count.

Here's a tip: Make a booking on Louis Vuitton's website to skip the queues, and choose either a guided tour or entrance-only ticket.

The Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition will run from 28 November to 23 December 2015, 11am-11pm from Sunday to Thursday, 11am-11.30pm on Friday and Saturday. Admission is free.
