Chinese New Year presents an annual opportunity for brands to have fun with animal prints. Some years and their corresponding Zodiac animal, are easier fits than others. This tiger year is, in particular, a great match for Italian luxury house Gucci. The brand has come up with an extensive collection of ready-to-wear and accessories for the festive occasion. The crux of which is a new tiger print. Sort of new – it’s actually a new interpretation of a late ’60s archival design by Vittorio Accornero, the artist and illustrator who originally created the brand’s signature Flora print.
