Zendaya Is On A Retro Style Streak And We're Loving Every Moment Of It
The ultimate fashion throwback
Zendaya's fashion game is usually two steps ahead of everyone else's, but lately, the actress has been throwing it back to the '50s, '60s, and '70s for her style inspiration—and the result is so refreshing.
The streak kicked off at the Erdem x H&M show last week, where Zendaya sported a floral A-line skirt and cable-knit sweater from the collection with Casadei heels. The biggest throwback aspect was in her hair, which she wore as a voluminous, Hairspray-esque bouffant.

Next came this look from Calvin Klein's Spring 2018 collection, which she wore on the GLSEN Respect Awards red carpet in LA. Though the look came fresh off the runway, Zendaya gave it a vintage touch with a wavy, flippy bob.

The latest installment in the star's retro streak came last night at the InStyle Awards. Zendaya's gown of choice was a more modern piece from Schiaparelli's Fall 2017 range, but once again, the vintage vibes came with her hair. This time she channeled the '70s with a perfectly styled afro.
The actress revealed that her hairstyle was inspired by Angela Davis and her own aunties, whom she featured on her Instagram with a vintage family photo.
