Riffing on the codes that Raf Simons left behind at the house of Dior, the couture maison sent out a collection that can be best described as beautifully transitional. It was a focused collection, with pin-sharp tailoring and textured embroidery paying tribute to Dior motifs—lily-of-the-valley flowers, the Bar jacket and the über-modern shapes Simons was fond of. But change was afoot at the brand too: More daring colour combinations were used, unexpected styling tricks were used and the most delicious prints peppered the presentation with a grown-up sartorial sensibility.
