In the age of social media, runway shows have become as much about garnering the most likes, tweets, vines, pins and overall impressions than earning the praise of fashion editors and buyers. Which helps to explain Dolce & Gabbana's latest runway show. Models took selfies as they strutted down the runway in Milan, and those selfies were then projected onto screens in the venue. A clever, if unabashed trick to be sure. Click on any one of the brand's promoted hashtags (#DGselfie, #ITALIAISLOVE, or #dolcegabbana) and thousands of results come up. See a few of the chic selfies below, plus check out Dolce & Gabbana's Instagram feed for more of the best snapshots straight from the catwalk.
