The Most Naked Red Carpet Outfits Of 2019 So Far

What? Someone has to keep track

Emma Roberts Naked Dress

No matter what year it is, the naked dress will always reign supreme. For award season this year, celebrities showed up left and right in see-through gowns or jumpsuits. That inspired us—okay, me—to keep track of the sheerest outfits and how they were worn. Why? Curiosity, for one. Plus, naked dresses always make you do a double take at the person wearing it. You would think by now I'd be tired of this trend, but it's the opposite. I've become even more obsessed with discovering the latest bold, sheer outfit. Although I have yet to wear one myself to an event, I will surely take notes on how to style it from the ladies ahead.

This might be my favorite look on Emma Roberts ever. She arrived for Vanity Fair's Oscars After-Party in a Yanina Couture dress, looking ever so glamorous and elegant. The actress proved naked gowns can be sheer and still feel tasteful.

At Vanity Fair's Oscars after-party, the model made sure all eyes were on her in this Rami Kadi black dress.

At Vanity Fair's Oscars after-party, Hough arrived in a caramel-colored J Mendel dress. It was sheer, though not as see-through as Emma Roberts'. The dancer styled her gown with a Rodo clutch, H Stern jewelry, and Brian Atwood shoes.

For The Art of Elysium's 12th annual celebration, Ratajkowski wore a sheer red dress from Dundas with side and back cut-outs. The model and actress is no stranger to boldly showing a little skin (just take a peek at her Instagram).

If the reality star was going for a bondage look, she mastered it. Kim wore this cutout Thierry Mugler haute couture dress from the spring/summer 1998 collection while attending the fifth annual Hollywood Beauty Awards on February 17.

The singer looked like a pearl in this vintage Mugler pink shell dress at the Grammys. While her lower half was wrapped up in the black fabric, her top half was left exposed to the elements in this "birth of Venus" look.

Ronan wore this custom Gucci dress to the Golden Globe Awards. The plunging neckline gown was made of delicate silver threads that draped over her frame and showed just a bit of skin here and there when she walked.

Dewan attended the InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globe Awards after-party in an Azzaro gown. From the right side it seemed like a regular dress, but once she turned to her left you can make out the dramatic cut-out design and sexy side slit. She wore a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Norman Silverman jewelry.

Seems like models love to wear beaded sheer dresses, huh? The 22-year-old star rocked this Georges Hobeika thigh-high slit dress to the amfAR Gala in New York City.

Scoles turned to the side for the cameras at the Golden Globes so she could show off that see-through vine design. The mermaid-style gown was one of the more daring options for the night.

If you're going to wear a bra on the red carpet, definitely pick a bedazzled one. Brie nailed this Cinderella-meets-the-red-carpet ensemble in custom Vera Wang at the Golden Globes.

One of the first to arrive on the Golden Globes red carpet, Cavallari wore an AMEN beaded dress. The gown had strategic mesh paneling across the chest, sleeves, and sides for sexy see-through detailing.
