Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kanye West, Jay Z and Pharrell Williams are all joining forces to sue French fashion brand, ElevenParis for clothing knockoffs. According to Reuters, the clothing retailer has been selling t-shirts, hats, phone cases and more featuring the celebrities’ faces, lyrics and quotes without their permission. Clothing featuring phrases like “Kanye is my Homie” and “Pharrell is my Brotha,” and Beyonce and Rihanna song lyrics have since been deleted from ElevenParis’s website, but t-shirts with phrases like “Karl Is My Father” still remain available.
The filed complaint calls ElevenParis: “habitual, willful intellectual property infringers that, without authorization, usurp the trademarks, copyrights and other rights of A-list celebrities.”
Sure, this isn’t exactly theBeyoncé, Riri, Kanye, Jay Z and Pharrell collaboration we were hoping for, but it looks like music’s biggest A-Listers are not playing around with this lawsuit.
