The Red Carpet Hits And Misses At The Grammys 2017

The Grammys 2017 had its fair share of moments. Among them: Beyoncé's heart-stopping performance, plus Adele's win and her subsequent speech dedicated to Queen Bey, left us wanting for more. And as with ceremonies these days, part of the fun included picking out — and apart — all the fashion the stars wore. The overall verdict for the red carpet at this year’s Grammys? Safe, but there were still bombshells — and bombs — that left a deep impression.

Impressed: Beyoncé proved you don’t even have to appear on the red carpet to make an impression. Her stunning Peter Dundas sequinned number showed the world how expectant mothers can look a million dollars too. A special shout-out to Chance the Rapper, whose well-deserved win and preppy Thom Browne ensemble made us smile.

Impressed: Never mind the fact that the upper half of Adele’s gown reminded us of a ketupat. This couture confection by Givenchy hugged the powerhouse vocalist’s curves in all the right places. We also can’t get enough of that gorgeous shade of royal green!

Not Impressed: If there’s a lesson we can all learn from Joy Villa’s appearance at the Grammys, it’s this: If you want your outfit to make a stand on your behalf, make sure it looks decent in the first place. In her case, she was way off the mark.
