Harper's BAZAAR Singapore: What’s your go-to party look for the holiday season?

Fiona Fussi: My go-to party look would be something with gold accents/design on it so it's festive, but is not too tight fitting so I can still eat comfortably! Holiday season is feasting season, am I right?

HB: What is one gift that you’re hoping to receive this Christmas?

FF: New gym gloves. [laughs] I don't want to get calluses when I work out.

HB: What will you giving to your nearest and dearest?

FF: Probably something Star Wars related. Many of my friends are so excited for the new movie, they'd be happy with anything as long as it's Star Wars-related!

HB: How will you be spending Christmas this year?

FF: I'll be cooking Christmas lunch for my family this year, and I'm looking forward to my father's homecooked Christmas dinner. It'll be nice to be home and spend quality time with the family, especially after being away in Paris for two months.

HB: Do you have any family traditions that you look forward to?

FF: Every year we stay awake until midnight to open our presents—I heard it's a European thing?—meanwhile we eat cookies and watch a Christmas movie.

HB: Speaking of Christmas movies, what are some of your favourites?

FF: Elf (starring Will Ferrell) or A Christmas Carol (with Scrooge) are oldies but goodies that I always love to watch during the season.

HB: What is your favourite memory of Christmas?

FF: One of my favourite memories of Christmas is definitely when I was young—I feel that as a child Christmas is so much more wondrous. I always looked forward to Santa delivering my presents at midnight or baking Christmas cookies with the family.

HB: What is your go-to drink for the holiday season?

FF: Definitely Glühwein! I'm happy I got to drink it at a Christmas market in Paris and the taste always reminds me of Christmas in Austria. Nothing like holding a hot cup of Glühwein on a cold night!
