Artist and fashion muse Georgia O’Keeffe‘s iconic personal style and unique approach to feminine identity have materialised in Tory Burch‘s pre-fall collection—imbued with an effortless, pared down aesthetic. The collection sees easy shapes rendered in the form of smart work-wear and shirt dresses that offer a balanced counterpoint to billowy skirts, bohemian caftans and smocked dresses.

Inspired by O’Keeffe’s painted landscapes of the American Southwest, the ready-to-wear offerings showcase shades of clay red, rust brown and sunset pink; and clean neutrals such as ivory, white and Tory navy. Ombre layered striping, exuberant floral prints, traditional Japanese dyeing techniques, charming embellishments and motifs afford textured finishes that convey a confident insouciance.

When it comes to accessories, footwear such as rugged clogs, pumps and sandals are finished in sunset velvets—we love the Gigi pumps available in a dark tiramisu and black, or a bright lava and malbec—and cowhide hair calf leather, a nod to ranchers of the American Southwest.

Roomy handbags, such as the Kira chevron convertible shoulder bag in dark chutney or light taupe, and sculpted jewelry reference O’Keeffe’s penchant for clean, organic shapes.
