Up Close With Emma Stone's Chanel Haute Couture BAFTAs Dress
You won't believe how long it took to make
Emma Stone is turning out to be the undisputed queen of awards season 2017; not only is she winning all the leading actress prizes going, but she's also landing herself at the top of global best-dressed lists thanks to her immaculate red-carpet choices.
Case in point: Sunday night's BAFTAs. The actress collected the Leading Actress award for her role in La La Land, and did so wearing a beautiful embellished Chanel Couture 'drouser' (that's a dress-trouser hybrid).
The smoky grey organza outfit, which was custom-made to fit the actress, was hand embroidered with more than 18,000 elements - including mirror shards, silver leaf appliqué, metal strips, crystal stones and jewelled beading. The entire look took approximately 1,100 hours to make.
