At day one of the Venice Film Festival, the A-list turned out in in all their glamour—most went for column gowns and a dizzying parade of white gowns also dominated the runways. Cases in point: Alessandro Ambrosio pulled off a summery frock that had just the right amount of red carpet magic; Diane Kruger was absolutely regal in a beautiful white column gown with silver embroidery and matching cape; and Elizabeth Banks was minimalist chic, opting for a gown with a cutout back and bejewelled detailing.
Speaking of bejewelled, Elisa Sednaoui went the opposite way and shone in a silvery grey Armani Privé paired with brilliant diamonds from Buccellati, and Paz Vega was elegantly chic in a Ralph Russo number embroidered all over with pearls. It signalled a return to the classic glamour of Hollywood, and we simply can’t wait to see what our favourite stars will rock up the runway in the days to come.
