A 14-year-old Willow Smith is already playing in the big leagues. The teen was just named the second face of Marc Jacobs’ fall 2015 campaign—alongside none other than Cher—and she has some pretty big footsteps to fill!
The designer took to Instagram to share the news, posting a ultra chic photo of the wunderkind perched atop a wooden step stool in a shimmery overcoat getup:
“Ever since our first Juergen Teller ad in 1998, which featured Kim Gordon onstage wearing my dress, I have always preferred collaborating with the people who inspire me to give new life to the clothes we show on our runway,” Jacobs captioned the photo, adding the long list of celebrity faces that have represented the brand over the years—including Miley Cyrus, Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham, to name a few.
“Beauty, style and talent know no age. It is those individuals whose creativity, unique vision, and voice inspire all of us here to create and express ourselves through our medium: fashion,” Jacobs continues, likely referring to the large age difference between Willow and Cher. “This season’s ads feature friends, each of whom evoke a sense of intrigue and inspiration and collectively provoke a true consideration for individuality.”
“Stay tuned over the coming weeks for more…” Jacobs concluded with a tease. Could this mean big brother Jaden too?
