Meet The Best Thing To Happen This Holiday: Fashion Santa

And this Santa is not what you would expect

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus—Fashion Santa, that is. Instead of the classic Santa meet-and-greet, Toronto's Yorkdale Shopping Centre introduced Fashion Santa for the 2015 holiday season—all in the name of charity. Portrayed by model Paul Mason, Fashion Santa has a significantly slimmer waistline and tidier beard than his traditional counterparts. He favors Burberry topcoats, Givenchy sneakers and cashmere Salvatore Ferragamo scarves—no polyester Santa hats in sight.

But that's where the differences end. Fashion Santa is all about the spirit of generosity; for every selfie posted with Fashion Santa and the hashtag #YorkdaleFashionSanta, Yorkdale will donate a  $1 to Sick Kids Foundation, up to $10,000. A list of dates to visit Fashion Santa can be found here.

The only question that remains is, can we be Mrs. Fashion Claus?
