Book your fall hair appointment now: Thanks to the Fall/Winter 2023 runways, we have a preview of the trends that will be taking over come next season. And while some are easy to try at any time—hair bows!—others will need a bit of thinking over, and the help of a trusted hairstylist (repeat after us: Don’t cut your own bangs). Ahead find the five fall trends we think will take over, courtesy of Fashion Week.
The next, offbeat iteration of the butterfly clip? Tiny satin bows adorned some of the models’ styles at Sandy Liang.
A more classic version of the hair bow was showcased at Max Mara, where low ponies were wrapped in oversize black ribbons.
Not a hair was out of place at Brandon Maxwell, where sleek ponytails let the models’ fresh faces shine.

Meanwhile at LaQuan Smith, the style took on a more Y2K vibe with high shine and volume at the crown.
At Dior, some models at their hair slicked back by Guido Palau and his team, while others had it braided back in tiny, mini braids, seen here. With the addition of a black headband tied at the nape of the neck in a bow (more bows!), the look was incredibly chic.
Short, Audrey Hepburn-esque bangs have been trending for a few seasons. Now, they’re veering more feathered and undone, as seen on Grace Elizabeth at Alberta Ferretti.

Iris Law also showed off a piece-y look while walking the runway at Daniel Lee‘s first Burberry show.
Send this to your friend getting married this year: The rose-like bun Lacy Redway created for the Christian Siriano show was inspired by the collection’s hand-crafted floral accents.
At Carolina Herrera, stylist Jimmy Paul did classic braided buns at the nape of the neck.

Created by Joey George for Oribe, the hair at Ulla Johnson—like the collection—was inspired by renaissance-period Botticelli paintings.
Laid-back, easy hair (sometimes haphazardly tucked into the clothes) was also spotted on the Roberto Cavalli runway.
