After a sneak preview during Singapore Fashion Week 2016, the ALT x ELYX Copper collection is finally here! Launched in collaboration with Absolut Elyx Vodka, this limited edition collection combines Absolut Elyx’s philanthropic values with ALT’s bold, statement-making designs. Keeping in line with ALT’s fair trade ethos, which employs workshops in Cambodia to produce their jewellery and support the livelihood of artisans, all the bold pieces in the new collection are made using discarded materials, such as old bombshells left behind by the Vietnam War. Another first for the brand is the rose gold finish, a nod to the copper equipment used to brew Absolut Elyx.
“The collaboration puts creativity at the forefront of a global movement in sustainability to foster a conscious way for us to approach fashion,” said Angie Lai-Tay, creative director and founder of ALT.
In addition, the collaboration is a celebration of female empowerment. To compound the message, Lai-Tay selected eight muses who are both successful in their own careers and are an influence in society. Among the muses are Tjin Lee, Susanna Kang, Aarika Lee, Charmaine Seah-Ong, Celina Lin, Paige Parker and Lum May Yee.
The ALT x ELYX collection comes in limited sets and will be available for purchase here.
