This morning, the world woke up to the news that Apple would be releasing a ton of new products in the coming month (iPhone 7! Apple Watch Series 2!), but the one piece of news that really made us sit up and take notice was the announcement that the tech giant and French luxury brand Hermès would be releasing a brand new collection featuring new leather watch bands and an expanded colour range.
Inspired by the iconic Clipper, Cape Cod and Espace Hermès models, the collection was crafted to be paired with the Apple Watch Series 2. What’s new is a fresh Double Buckle Cuff in Swift and Epsom calfskin leathers, inspired by an original Hermès sandal design by Pierre Hardy, and a new Single Tour Deployment Buckle band that pairs Hermès’ Barenia calfskin leather with a hidden deployment buckle that opens with a click of two side buttons. Colours such as Rose Jaipur, Étoupe, Bleu Agate and Anemone have also been added to the collection’s existing colourways.
“We are united by the same vision, the uncompromising pursuit of excellence and authenticity, and the creation of objects that remain as relevant and functional as they are beautiful,” said Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Hermès’ executive vice president. “This is a new step of our attelage.”
The new Apple Watch Hermès will be available from 23 September, while the Apple Watch Hermès Bands are sold separately and will be available from 16 September at select Hermès stores, Apple.com/sg, and Hermes.

The Apple Watch Hermès is available in two different case sizes: 38mm and 42mm. The 38mm Single Tour is $1,788; 42mm Single Tour is $1,868; 38mm Double Tour is $2,028; 42mm Single Tour Deployment Buckle is $2,188; and 38mm Double Buckle Cuff is $2,328.
The Single Tour Band is $518, Double Tour is $758 and Double Buckle Cuff is $1,058.
