Barbie Turns 60 This Year In Outfits Designed By Local Creatives

And she looks better than ever

November 12, 2019

Barbie has been a girl’s childhood favourite for decades; she’s stood the test of time and continues to inspire young girls worldwide to pursue all of their dreams.

Now, Barbie has officially hit the big 6-0 and to celebrate the occasion she’s teamed up with Singapore Tourism Board (STB) for a first-ever collaboration, which features the works of 18 local creatives and design brands. For the showcase, our homegrown artists and designers were put to the test to create groundbreaking outfits for Barbie inspired by Singapore’s culture, street culture or other unique ideas.

Scroll through our gallery to get a sneak peek at some of the iconic looks that are currently on display at *SCAPE (#02-14) from now till 30th November.

The 60th Anniversary Doll Showcase by Barbie® and Singapore Tourism Board runs from 10:30 am – 10:30 pm daily. Admission is free.

Address: Level 2 at *SCAPE, 2 Orchard Link, Singapore 237978
