Knotty or nice, there was something for everyone at Harper’s BAZAAR’s in-store cocktail soirée with Bottega Veneta at ION Orchard. Making a lasting impression on guests were the impressive butterfly installations that filled up the Italian luxury house’s store window as a precursor to the Asia-exclusive Butterfly capsule collection that waited inside the boutique. Then, there was Senior Fashion Editor Windy Aulia’s introduction to the key pieces of the collection, which featured the elegant winged insects (a brand motif since the 1970s) in the form of leather cut-outs and embroidery applied onto the brand’s iconic Intrecciato leather. The rest of the evening saw guests trying on the lovingly crafted pieces — many in a palette of pretty pink — with one even softly singing Mariah Carey’s “Butterfly” while she was at it.
