Sophisticated yet simple, Anthony Vaccarello's Fall/Winter 2022 collection for Saint Laurent will go down in memory for its sleek, effortlessly cool silhouettes and subtle yet striking use of colour. Never one to shy away from high glamour, Vaccarello's '80s evening jackets, flawless black tuxedos and faux fur coats give off an air of elegance which has defined his aesthetic during his tenure at Saint Laurent thus far.

Perhaps the collection is a demonstration of his own Belgian-born sensibilities, echoing back to the '90s-era coolness of deconstructed minimalism and monochrome colours which shaped that era, in a distinctly modern way. Vaccarello juxtaposes heavy menswear-inspired outerwear with delicate, flowing gowns in a way only a designer well-versed in the Saint Laurent playbook can.
