Christian Louboutin first collaborated with artist Nico in 2004 to decorate his glamourous creations with graffiti art. For spring/summer 2019, the French shoe designer decided to bring roll out a range of footwear decorated with colourful graffiti to satiate the sartorial appetites of a new generation of consumers.
Aptly named LoubiGraf, 5 unique graffiti styles that were based on the original collaboration were splashed across sneakers, pumps, clutches and bags. Harper’s BAZAAR’S Associate Fashion News Editor, Gerald Tan highlighted some key designs to the guests. The collection, overall, creates a sense of freedom, youthfulness, and nod to self-expression.
As flutes of champagne were served by waiters dressed top-to-toe in jumpsuits inspired by the Loubigraf collection, guests also had fun trying on the hot favourites from the collection – the Rantus Orlato sneakers, Graffiti pumps and the Marie Jane bag.
The Loubigraf collection is now available at Christian Louboutin Boutiques at Scotts Square and Marina Bay Sands.
