What is youth? Does it refer to millennials, Gen Z (a.k.a those born in 1995 and after), or is it simply a state of mind? To me, youth shouldn’t be dictated by age, but rather your perception of the world. You don’t need to dress a certain way or carry a particular bag. We don’t have to conform to what’s “age-appropriate”. I may feel like Kendall Jenner today, and Iris Apfel the next—I love their styles for completely different reasons.
Try this on for size: Layer a feminine slip dress over a printed silk shirt and pair it with sneakers for some cool-girl insouciance. Team a graphic t-shirt with a luxurious timepiece before topping it off with a bold hat for a quirky magpie aesthetics.
In fact, when I’m in a more-is-more mood, I sling my classic Chanel bag over my shoulder while toting an Off-White bag at the same time. After all, the mantra of youth can be summed up as such: Be anything, but never be boring.
