To mark Bottega Veneta’s newly expanded flagship at ION Orchard, Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore hosted a Saturday afternoon cocktail lavished with just the right amount of tipple, keeping shopping spirits at a high. Associate Fashion News Editor, Gerald Tan took guests on a tour of the refurbished space and the fall/winter 2016 pieces within, before they witnessed the iconic hand-woven Intrecciato technique first hand, specially demonstrated by an artisan from the brand’s Montebello Vicentino atelier. “I love how her manicure perfectly matches the pastel purple of the leather—it really is all in the details, no?” asked one of the ladies, who then went on to try on the plushest cashmere coat. Knot clutches, naturally, were the most popular, with many guests spoilt for choice with the various materials and colourways in store, while a handful were spotted strutting out of the boutique in fresh new shoes, from floral brogues to leather loafers.
