7 Celeb-Approved Fitness And Wellness Tips To Inspire Your New Year's Goals

A new year calls for a revamped workout routine to get us feeling good and looking as good as our favourite A-listers. Of course, it is easier said than done for those of us who aren’t as active as others. But that shouldn’t stop us from trying.

Although celebrity fitness and wellness regimes are stereotyped as being extreme and complicated, a few stars have suggested tips and tricks for all the rest of us. Ahead, we dive deep into a couple of celeb-approved tips which can help inspire your fitness goals for 2023.

It's amazing how this actress, entrepreneur and mother finds time to squeeze in a workout. Thankfully, she broke down her favourite exercises in a condensed TikTok video for all of us average viewers at home. Alba warms up with 30 minutes of cardio followed by 15 counts of rows using TRX straps attached to a wall, then adds on 15 counts of Bulgarian squats for each leg, 10 chest presses and ab crunches with sliders. She does the circuit three times before ending with stretches for optimal muscle recovery.

Be it weight training, Pilates or even pole dancing, this multifaceted actress does it all to keep in excellent shape. However, there was one surprising piece of equipment that caught our attention – a sled. Hudson was one of the early celebrities to adopt the sled push into her routine, a full-body exercise that focuses on strength-building and cardio at the same time. Grooving out in the middle of a set is optional but clearly, Hudson is all for it.

The ever-confident musician is known for her TikTok videos, where she talks about working out on one’s own terms. She certainly lives by that motto with short, high-intensity exercises ranging from battle ropes and weighted squats to skipping and cycling, all of which are great for cardiovascular health. And of course, she loves singing along to her own bops while she’s on the treadmill.

No one works out as hard as the Kardashians, but Khloe has really upped her fitness game this past year. Snippets of Khloe’s regime were revealed in the family’s Hulu series. The reality TV star is often seen entering her gym before both the sun and her daughter rises every weekday, to complete her warm-up exercises and maximise her one-hour session with personal trainer Coach Joe.

The beloved Friends star is an avid fan of yoga, but she also loves a good sweat. Her cardio workout is split into three sections, 15 minutes each, starting off on a stationary bike, before following up on a cross trainer and lastly, the treadmill. There is no magic behind this particular combination, but it breaks up the monotony that comes with sticking to one machine for the entire workout.

In this era, our mental well-being is just as important as our physical health, and Kendall Jenner seems to know that better than anyone. It is no secret that the supermodel suffers from anxiety and is also a hypochondriac. While she has a decked out “wellness room” filled with expensive equipment, she is also an avid fan of simple calming practices like meditation, journaling and sound baths.
