In a surprising but rather wonderful collaboration, Dolce & Gabbana has joined forces with Smeg to create a completely unique collection of fridges. There are 100 hand-painted designs to choose from, each inspired by mediaeval Sicilian horse carts that were painted with pictorial scenes in order educate illiterate villagers.

Designed by the Brazilian duo the Campana brothers for Fendi, the chair is made up of more than 100 of the brand's furry 'bag bugs'. At £50,000 it doesn't come cheap, but it is guaranteed to be an eye-catching design classic.
