Mention Delvaux and its iconic Brillant bag immediately comes to mind. Created in 1958 by architect Paul Goethals, the structured top-handle bag is crafted from 64 pieces of quality leather and metallic parts. And in the decades since its inception, the Brillant has come to embody the exceptional levels of craft synonymous with Delvaux. New interpretations of the Brillant are rolled out every season, but perhaps none stirs up as much fanfare as the Les Miniatures Belgitude—miniature versions of the Brillant bag.

This fall/winter 2017 season, the leather goods powerhouse has released seven adorable designs that are sure to tickle your fancy. They are also based on various emblems of Belgian life: For example, the hulking and futuristic Atomium building is rendered as shiny bulbous patches on the small bag, while another pays tribute to the Belgian les frites, with graphic leather patches crafted to look like fries.

But that's not all. Delvaux has also tapped on auteur-filmmaker Jaco van Dormael to direct seven  short films that star the Les Miniatures Belgitude bags. Done up in to evoke a Surrealist mood, the films show how bags are taken to quirky and out-of-this-world realms where anything is possible—all one needs to do is dare to dream. Watch the films here:
