It’s no secret that your Valentine’s Day plans will likely look a bit different this year, what with the social distancing and restaurant closures. But that’s no excuse to skimp in the outfit department. In fact, Cupid’s holiday is reason enough to get all dolled up — even if the itinerary just consists of an intimate dinner at home.

When it comes to putting together a foolproof look that’s worthy of your V-Day agenda, don’t over-complicate things. You can never go wrong with a chic printed dress. However if you want to go the traditional route, consider investing in a well-tailored leather skirt suit that you can wear well after the festivities are over. And if dresses or skirts aren’t really your thing, pull a pair of wide-leg pants from your workwear collection to create a look that’s more in line with your personal aesthetic.

Ahead are nine outfit ideas to get you started on the right path, as well as, the key pieces you need to recreate them at home.
