Is fall/winter 2018 the season of Prada? The Italian brand and its influential headmistress, Miuccia Prada, sent everyone into a tizzy by bringing back some of its iconic prints as hybrid bowling shirts for men and women. Then, they heralded the return of the famous Prada Linea Rossa line on the catwalks, further delighting fans and industry watchers alike.
Otherwise known as Prada Sport, the line first made waves in the ’90s for giving athletic and functional gear a stylish and futuristic spin. Of course, 2018’s range has been updated to suit the tastes of a new generation, but one thing stays the same—the iconic red tab that remains integral to the final look of each piece. At the women’s fall/winter 2018 show, for example, the cerebral designer sent out fluorescent-hued Linea Rossa padded vests as an abstract means of offering the modern woman a form of “protection”.
Now, the brand has finally rolled out the line in stores worldwide and in Singapore (Prada’s The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands outpost will stock it exclusively). See the collection in the gallery above.
