After 28 jam-packed days of catwalk shows and showroom presentations, the crush of the fall/winter 2017 fashion weeks is finally over. However, there’s no time to rest for the fashion set—it’s back to the meeting rooms to digest and take stock of all the action happening on the runways.
The biggest takeaway for fall/winter 2017? In the midst of all the political uncertainty, designers continued to push out a myriad of gear for women to feel good in. And part of the kit included a range of accessories that ranged from adorably off-kilter to devilishly sexy. Marc Jacobs, for example, included up-sized bowler hats in his line-up. At Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello churned out what’s easily the footwear of next season: Slouchy boots full of attitude. And who wouldn’t want the lovely umbrellas shown at Gucci? When it comes to a rainy day, those are truly magical to have.
