One good thing to come out of the pandemic is this octogenarian couple’s Instagram. Unlike some of her counterparts here, Australian ex-magazine editor turned fashion influencer Fiona Milne’s feed is a masterclass on taking classic dressing to the next level. Better known as FiFi Milne, her mix-and-matching of sophisticated neutrals exudes a sense of refinement, and yet remains achievable by everyone who needs looks that look good on the go. A FiFi Milne look is always classic and minimalist, but it’s never boring.

We couldn’t do a round up of our fave over-50 fashion influencers and not include the OG queen of the lot: Iris Apfel.

The much-adored fashion doyenne is known for her “more is more” approach to dressing, and channels this maximalism with her penchant for layering pattern over pattern, on top of stacks of jewellery.
