Jewellery designer Delfina Delettrez Fendi has designed a series of twenty fine watch models for Fendi, accompanied by a Surrealist video from photographer Daniel Sannwald. Inspired by the arches and elliptical forms of Fendi’s headquarters at the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana (as the watches were) the film is peppered with images evoking ancient Rome, with Delettrez Fendi herself appearing at one point as a statue. To the tune of the video’s dreamlike soundtrack, malachite, lapis lazuli and obsidian inserts drift and diamonds float through air before converging to form the whole Polichromia watch, finished with genuine alligator straps and 18k gold buckles.
