This week, the fashion set jetted to Tokyo for Giorgio Armani's cruise 2020 collection. This marked the first time the house has ever put on a show for a pre collection and also coincided with the re-opening of the newly revamped Armani/Ginza Tower, a concept store inaugurated in 2007, which has become a key architectural landmark in the area.

Tokyo has often served as inspiration for the designer, who has a shared love of sleek simplicity and pops of vibrant colour, which are both so embedded in Japanese culture. He also took inspiration from typical Japanese island landscapes, with burnt neutral colours and washed textures.
