Gucci is celebrating diversity with its Pre-Fall 2017 campaign, titled “Soul Scene,” which only features models and dancers of colour. The ads, photographed by Glen Luchford, were inspired by the Northern Soul movement of 1960s London, and images by Malick Sadibé, a Malian photographer who captured nightlife in Bamako, Mali. The resulting vibrant photos are the perfect match for Alessandro Michele‘s equally bold designs.
The lively, flamboyant campaign is the product of the audition tapes Gucci released in January, which featured black models dancing and answering the question, “What does it mean to have soul?”
