The pandemic may have put a dampener on Halloween festivities, but you can still get in the mood with these delish treats. And we aren’t talking your average trick-or-treating candies. From ghoulish cocktails to monstrous whisky and bewitching afternoon tea, these home deliveries and dining spots will get you in the spirit of Halloween.

Tablescape’s popular Afternoon Tea set has gotten a frightful spin.

The three-tiered set, in limited-edition packaging, will come laden with both classics and new items. Just for the occasion, you can look forward to wicked treats like the Monster Cake Pop with Caramel and Pumpkin boasting mummy wraps and Frankenstein-like accents. Then get hands-on with the Dress-me-up Cupcakes, a DIY set that lets both little and grown-up kids concoct their own Halloween-themed chocolate cupcakes with a packet of candy floss.

Back for its fifth year, Lime Restaurant’s Halloween Buffet promises an extravaganza filled with three days of spook-tacular and tantalising fare.

Start with bewitching appetisers like a Jack-O-Lantern Salad or a Graveyard Cheese Platter. Then dive into Freddy Brain’s Foie Gras with ‘Bloody’ Raspberry Sauce or an ‘Eyeball’ Salad enlivened with roasted tomatoes and sweet pepper gazpacho.

To satiate your carnivorous cravings, there’s Roadkill Roasted Baby Lamb, as well as a Ghost Ship Seafood Bar loaded with crustacean delights such as snow crabs, golden clams, whelks, and prawns.  End off your fright-fest with saccharine treats like Zombie Brain (Eton Mess), or the thirst-quenching Witches Brew (Chendol).

Sunday brunch gets a deliciously terrifying transformation over at Marina Bay Sand’s Lavo Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar.

Happening for just one day on Oct 31, get ready for a feast with Halloween-themed options of charcoal pizza, foie gras and beef short rib croquettes, roasted bone marrow and homemade squid ink fettuccine.

For sweet treats, you’ll get morsels like mini “brain” raspberry jelly, pumpkin cupcakes, cinnamon cheesecake, pumpkin pie verrine and more. You’ll also find its other usual brunch staples like the raw bar piled with snow crab legs, lobsters, scallops, mussels, and tuna ceviche.

And of course, what’s a champagne brunch without the booze. Indulge in free-flow champagne, Peroni beer, and cocktails such as mimosas, bloody marys, and Singapore Slings.

For the month of October, cruffin creator Mr Holmes Bakehouse has pushed out a series of cruffins that nod to the spooky festival. The Pumpkin Cheesecake comes piped with pumpkin puree cheese cream, while Rocky Road doles out chewy and crunchy bliss of dark chocolate, marshmallows, and walnuts atop flaky layers.

Available only on the weekends is the Caramel Cardamom Expresso, an aromatic combination of spice, coffee, and caramel cream that comes together as an oozy bomb crowned with a charcoal coral tuile. All are priced at $6.50 each.

Available till end of November at its Pacific Plaza flagship, with island-wide deliveries available via its website.

For both adults and kiddos alike, the Museum of Ice Cream is taking your trick-or-treating an icy spin.

Come Oct 28, the ice cream playground promises that its 14 whimsical installations, like the Sprinkle Pool, and Banana Jungle, will be transformed into a frightful town. Of course, you can look forward to “spooktacular” ice cream treats.

You can always look forward to themed drinks at Starbucks during festive seasons, and Halloween’s no exception.

This month, you can get sippin’ on the Spook-a-ccino ($8.20 for a Tall frappucino), a mocha frappucino swirled with chocolate chips and a generous dollop of strawberry sauce, then topped with whipped cream and a cute spooky pumpkin-shaped chocolate topper.

Aside from a new drink, there’s also a collection of Halloween-themed merch, including cat- and ghost-shaped drinkware that tells an adorable story of a timid ghost and his best friend black cat, as well as a glow-in-the-dark tumbler, mug, and cold cup.

Celebrate the spooky season from home with Islay malt whisky brand ARDBEG’s Monsters of Smoke trio pack, perfect for whisky fans who are new to smoky malts.
