Olivier Rousteing embraced theatrics and maximalism for his first couture show with Balmain. Exaggerated silhouettes played out across the collection, from pleated tulle, big bows and bulbous elements to asymmetric drapes and cuts. The Balmain experience, complete with the Rousteing’s signature luxe aesthetic, was turned up several notches, no doubt.
