Karl Lagerfeld threw his own version of a pool party, complete with a summer home (make that mansion) and greenery galore. Chanel’s couture spring 2019 collection was a melange of vibrant pastel hues, bedazzled gowns and feathered accents, not forgetting the maison’s signature tweed touches and classic blazer pairings. The final look, worn by Vittoria Ceretti, was a sequined bathing suit with a trailing veil, giving a unique take on the summer bride. Though Lagerfeld was not present to take his bow, Studio Director, Virginie Viard was there in his stead.
