Giambattista Valli was at it again this season, but this time, he drifted ever so slightly away from his infamous tulle poufs, ruffs, and puffs. Slimmer silhouettes were on the menu at Valli, and his more recent study of drapery continued from his last couture offering. Valli experimented with bolder colors this season as well; his affinity for mustard and dandelion stood out in his two finale looks and a cropped ball gown decked with feathers. Those hot hues were punctuated by airy moments of ivory, coral, poppy, and deeper raspberry hints.
