Easy-peasy and oh so breezy, tunics are the perfect example of how to do comfort with effortless style. This season saw the Grecian silhouette take a modish turn with a play on cut, length, fabric, print and style. Chloé offered a lesson in proportions by teaming its fitted, hip-skimming boho-chic version with ankle-length palazzo pants. If you like it loose and cool, take your cue from Dior, which showed a long Technicolour Dreamcoat-like number worn with matching bottoms and loosely cinched with a skinny belt for subtle definition. Over at Adeam, an asymmetric drop-waist piece was layered over light, floaty trousers to effortless effect, while Prada went quirky with a Dalmatian-like design that played with cut and materials in true form. And while we can’t travel yet, there’s nothing stopping us from slaying the staycay style, so channel Tory Burch and team a classic kaftan in linen with matching bottoms and tasselled add-ons for something that’ll work as well at Marine Parade as it would in Marrakech.
