Last evening, ICON Singapore held its 18th ICON Ball at Shangri-La Singapore after a hiatus of three years due to the pandemic. In line with this year’s theme of “Modern Orientalism”—which set the stage for a stunning showcase of some of the most beautiful evening gowns seen this year—the glitzy event saw Singapore’s most influential, powerful and prominent individuals including Kim Lim, Jamie Chua, and more decked out in their absolute best.
In recognition of the next generation of entrepreneurs, the inaugural The Next ICON Awards went to visionary leaders who are leading the charge towards a more sustainable future—Ms Ho Ren Yung, Senior Vice-President of the Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts; Mr Victor Tan, Chief Executive Officer of TOP International Holdings; and Ms Cynthia Handriani Wijaya, Head of Business Development and Investor Relations at Daya Seleras Group—for their sustainability efforts and family business initiatives.
A number of young talents and musicians were also showcased at the event, including Serina Lee, winner of the Harper’s BAZAAR NewGen Fashion Award 2022; celebrity erhu player Ayden Sng, who recently released an erhu instrumental album; and Rit Xu, who received the 2022 Young Artist award and is renowned internationally for his versatility in playing different musical genres.
