A fashion designer's vision and aesthetic isn't just limited to the collections they show on the runway—in fact, a boutique's look and feel can convey the designer's message as well. This explains why, whenever a new Creative Director takes over the reins of a fashion house, refurbished stores are (almost) sure to follow suit. This is definitely the case for Parisian fashion powerhouse Givenchy, which unveiled a brand new look for its outpost in Hong Kong last week.

And as expected of a luxury brand loved by all, stars turned up in full force to fête the opening of the boutique. And spotted among the crowd were Korean stars Lee Dong Wook and Krystal Jung, who received some of the evening's loudest cheers from fans who'd gathered hours before the party was due to begin. Yo Yang, Pakho Chau and Laurinda Ho also turned up to lend star wattage to the event.

The store is, without a doubt, the other star of the night. Located in Hong Kong's posh IFC mall, one of Hong Kong's prime shopping haven that is home to an array of international luxury brands, Givenchy's 1,851 sqft store will no doubt add variety to the retail scene there.

Conceptualised by Clare Waight Keller, Givenchy's newly appointed Artistic Director, the boutique has been modeled to give off the vibe of a Parisian townhouse instead of a retail space. White walls, drawn-back white curtains and potted plants all add to the sense of intimacy within store, while a wrought iron gate-like structure similar to the one erected outside the fashion show venue in Paris welcomes shoppers into the space.

The store is well-stocked with ready-to-wear pieces from Waight Keller's debut spring/summer 2018 Spotted at the IFC boutique? A gorgeous chiffon number that is feminine and stately all at once, thanks to its pastel mint and flaming red combination.

The new GV3 bag line also takes centrestage within the store. First spotted during the spring/summer 2018 show, the range is the brainchild of Waight Keller. Named after Givenchy's headquarters in 3 Avenue George V in Paris, the bag features a Double G clasp and boasts a boho-chic attitude.
